New England

I just recently had the chance to spend a couple of days up in the Mt. Washington area of New Hampshire. Lots of seasonal activities, great weather, beautiful mountain scenery and foliage...what a perfect time of year to be in New England.

It got me thinking about how fortunate I feel to have grown up in this special part of the world. I don't think enough people take advantage and appreciate all that New England has to offer. Over the last few months, I've had the opportunity to spend time in each New England state for one reason or another. They all really have their own character and special appeal. Whether you enjoy the city life, beaches, mountains, wilderness, New England has something for everyone. Anybody who has had me in class this year also knows how I feel about having so much history in our own backyard.

What makes New England special to you? Do you have a favorite area of New England that you've been to? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts. I personally enjoy Cape Cod and Vermont. Can you recommend a great spot for a vacation?

I agree that New England is an amazing place and lately I've been realizing how fortunate I am to be from such a beautiful region. Cape Cod and Vermont are my two favorites as well. I have family all over the Cape and spend a lot of time there (Nantucket's my fave), and I go to college in Vermont. I hope everyone in New England takes advantage of the scenery, history and culture of this area.
